Shabaka Hutchings – Afrikan Culture

Shabaka Hutchings' debut under his own name "Shabaka" is released as an 8-track EP. He became known for his globally acclaimed ensembles Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming and Shabaka and the Ancestors. On this release, he taps into a musically quieter, more meditative space for himself. The supporting element of the eight tracks is Shabaka as a soloist on various wind instruments. "Afrikan Culture" is a meditative, reflective work, more than just an inviting atmospheric soundscape.
